Integrated Pest Management

To meet the needs of modern day savvy and environmentally conscious customers, Habitat Pest Control understands that the pest control technician of today and of the future needs to be more than a spray guy. The technician no longer can conveniently just grab a spray can and kill bugs. Habitat has implemented a holistic approach–Habitat’s Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Program—to pest control that combines traditional and innovative tools and methods. In customizing this program, Habitat’s IPM techniques such as habitat modification and baiting, habitat maintenance, proper sanitation practices, exclusion work and biological controls are used to reduce contact between the customer and pest.

For this approach to work most effectively, it relies heavily on communication between the customers. It is about building a relationship with the customer. Our technician becomes an educator for their customers as the goal is to minimize the use of pesticides in the control pest populations. By educating the customer on IPM principles, Habitat’s technician will help create a pest free sanctuary for our customers and their pets.
